- How many guests may I invite?
The party is for up to 25 children.
- Does this include adults?
No, we only count children between the ages of 18 months and 18.
- Will other groups be in the play area with my guests?
Your party is a private party. There will not be anyone in your rooms other than your group. The weekday Toddler Party is the only one that is not private. There may be other Toddlers in the room with your Toddler Party Group.
- If I need to have more than 25 children, how many children will the play are support?
The play area is over 4000 square feet and will accommodate many more than 25 children. The party room has four, picnic style tables and will seat up to 32. We suggest that you reserve both rooms if your group exceeds 32. We have connecting doors between the rooms and they can be opened to provide one huge play area for large groups.
- What is the charge if I exceed 25 guests?
There is an additional charge of $10.00 for each guest above 25.
- What is included in the basic party?
The basic party is two hours long. The first 1 ½ hours are spent in the play plaza. The final 30 minutes is spent in the party room. Events@Sherlake provides play partners to work with the children in the play plaza, all paper goods for the party room, hand sanitizer and invitations. We set up, clean up and serve in the party room. Additionally, we have most serving utensils needed.
- What decorations may we bring?
Since our party rooms are attractively decorated, no further decorations are needed. If you would like, we can provide balloons for your party. Some guests have a theme and want to bring plates or napkins. You are welcome to do this, just let us know and we will set up with yours paper goods instead of ours.
- Are there any decorations that you do not allow?
We do not allow confetti or piñatas. We do not allow anything taped to the walls, windows or tables. We ask that you do not allow the use of silly string in our facility. A $100 cleaning fee may be charged to any party using these items.
- If I bring my own ice cream cake, can you provide storage?
We have very limited freezer and refrigerator storage and must reserve this space for the items that we supply. Please plan on bringing a cooler to store your cold items.
- What food items are we allowed to bring?
You may bring a cake, light snacks (chips or pretzels) and drinks.
- Can you provide pizza?
Yes, we can provide pizza for your group. Pizza prices include beverages.
- What toppings may we order?
For children, we suggest cheese but there is no additional charge for any toppings you want.
- Can Events@Sherlake provide a cake?
Yes, we can provide a cake. Please let us know what design you would like to have a week prior to your party and we will have the cake here at the time of your party.
- Are there any food items you do not allow?
We do not allow outside pizza, ice cream or any heavy foods. Please limit your foods to light snacks and cake.
- Is a deposit required?
Yes, we require $50, non refundable deposit at the time you make your reservation. At time can not be held without a deposit.
- Can we change the date of our party?
If the time you would like is available, you may change your date up to 10 days prior to your party.
- How early should I arrive for my party?
Arrive fifteen minutes before the party to greet your guests.
- Will I be able to bring gifts and food into the party room before the party?
Your party room will not be available until the last 30 minutes of your party. We will move all of your items into the room for you while you play. Remember that we will set up the room for you.
- Is there anything else I need to bring?
Socks are required. Guests occasionally forget theirs. We suggest that you bring extra socks, candles for your cake and of course, lots of kids!
- How many invitations do you provide?
We provide 25 invitations. If you need more, you may print them from our web site.
- What is the fee if the party runs over the scheduled time period?
We understand that parties occasionally take a few extra minutes. There is no charge for parties that end within 15 minutes of the scheduled time period. Parties exceeding 15 minutes past the scheduled time will be charged $100 per hour.
- Is there a difference between the two rooms?
Both rooms at Events at Sherlake have a slide, bounce house and obstacle course/rock wall combo. One side has a basketball game and the other side has Rescue Heros (a toddler piece.)
- Can I stop by Events at Sherlake for a tour?
Since we are a private party facility, we are not always there. We love to give tours but suggest that you call and arrange a time to make sure that we are here to show you our great facility.
- Can we bring our own music?
Yes, bring your favorite CD to play at your party.
